Julie + Shane

Filed in:

You may remember Julie + Shane from their amazingly epic sunrise shoot in Queenstown, New Zealand. Well, by some crazy coincidence, they both happened to be in the same city in Thailand as Kasey and me during the last few days of our trip this April! So, obviously- 1) We all had to hang out and celebrate the Thai New Year! 2) We had to do another anniversary session!

The hard part of setting up this session was avoiding the crazy water pistols, buckets, and thousands of people celebrating Songkran- a three day water festival that celebrates the New Year. To do this, we had to wake up around 5:45am on the first day of the celebrations and sneak around to a nearby empty temple. While I’d planned to shoot this session on my DSLR, after a few shots my shutter completely failed and I had to switch over to the one roll of film that I had in my 35mm camera. Luckily, these two are basically professional couple’s portrait models, so this session was so easy and a great one to try out on film!

Take a look below at Julie + Shane and be sure to leave them lots of love! (And follow along on the rest of their amazing adventures HERE!)
